This abstract mask holds deep meaning. The awakening of our wisdom and insight to the nature of reality.

All is not what it seems. The hole in the centre symbolises the third eye. The void or space therein represents the essence of ‘seeing through’ the veil.

The top of the eye is connected to a reflected pattern. This shows that our mind is the creator of our reality. Everything is a projection of our mind and therefore by generating a mind of love, compassion and wisdom, the world around us reflects these qualities back. What we give out, returns.

The back of the Taonga represents the chaotic nature of our existence. The ocean of Life has many currents, rivers and waves. With skillful means we can navigate the chaos and ride these waves to the safety of the shore.
