Parakore - to have no impurities

I really enjoyed carving this Taonga! This one is named Parakore, meaning to have no impurities. This Taonga symbolises the awakening of the wisdom of our true nature. You have unlimited potential for bliss and happiness. This carving symbolises the nourishing of this potential.

I have depicted pure clear light blessings entering the crown of this Koruru (facce of the guardian) and have inlayed a small mother of pearl in the third eye region. This symbolises increasing wisdom and seeing the world beyond the ordinary appearance.

On the back are seven inlays of pāua. These represent the various energy centres or charka, known as our subtle body. I have emphasised the heart charka which is a bigger inlay than the rest. This is where our root mind resides. The very essence of our nature.

When our subtle nature is fully realised, we become a pure being. As such, I have left this Taonga unstained to symbolise the purity of mind. From a pure mind comes a pure world.

May all your dreams for true happiness and joy come true. I sincerely hope you enjoy the carving and over time come to fully understand all the various layers of meaning imbued in this creation.

The carving has been registered in my database of work. I wish you and your family the deepest peace and happiness.
