This carving is named Topu.  This word means consolidated, merged, combined, united, assembled. Like all my carvings, there are multiple levels of meaning.

The overall concept represents two becoming one. At the bottom of this carving there are two Manaia uniting to become one entity. The design elelements of the Koru and lines murging into the heads at the bottom represent various blessings upon our body, speech and mind which open our wisdom eyes and bring various joys into our mind.
